Vision: |
I am interested in growing heirloom vegetables or simply less common vegetable and herb varieties. My vision is to support the promotion of less common but useful and nutritious varieties until they have become more popular in our local area and perhaps even sold on big chain grocery store shelves in the future. My family is also currently learning about ducks and goats and is open to the idea of perhaps having one or the other on our farm as well, but not necessarily right away. |

Growing herbs and vegetables on a small scale has developed a passion in me to farm. I have limited to no experience in many areas of farming and farm life and would count it the greatest asset in my early career as a farmer to be able to shadow someone who has been doing this for many years already. My family is looking to form a great friendship with an established farming family to learn about any and all areas of the farming business. This may be an actual apprenticeship or perhaps less formal than that. I am open to any experience and collaboration at this point. |
